Last Updated: March 26, 2025

1. Service Activation

This policy outlines the procedures for activating and accessing ShutterCloud services. By subscribing to our platform, you agree to comply with this policy.

1.1 Account Creation

To access ShutterCloud services, you must create an account using a valid email address and set a secure password. Your account will be activated upon successful subscription payment.

1.2 Subscription Activation

Service activation occurs immediately after a successful payment transaction. A confirmation email with access details will be sent to your registered email address.

1.3 Trial Periods

If applicable, trial periods begin immediately upon account creation. At the end of the trial period, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription using your provided payment method unless canceled before the trial ends.

2. Access Management

2.1 Account Access

Your Shutter Cloud account is accessible via:

2.2 Service Availability

ShutterCloud services are available 24/7, except during scheduled maintenance windows. We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for all services. Scheduled maintenance will be announced at least 48 hours in advance through email notifications and in-app alerts.

2.3 Multiple Device Access

You can access your ShutterCloud account from multiple devices simultaneously. However, we reserve the right to limit concurrent sessions based on your subscription tier to prevent abuse.

3. Account Types and Permissions

3.1 Studio Owner Account

The primary account with full administrative access to all features, billing information, and user management. Only Studio Owner accounts can modify subscription plans and billing details.

3.2 Studio Member Account

Secondary accounts created by the Studio Owner with customizable permission levels. Access can be granted or restricted to specific features and content based on roles assigned by the Studio Owner.

3.3 Client Access

Limited accounts created for clients to view and interact with their specific content. These accounts do not require a separate subscription and are managed through the Studio Owner account.

4. Service Limitations

4.1 Storage Limitations

Storage limits are determined by your subscription tier. If you exceed your allocated storage, you may experience restrictions on uploading new content until additional storage is purchased or older content is removed.

4.2 Bandwidth Limitations

Reasonable bandwidth usage is included with all subscription tiers. However, excessive bandwidth consumption may result in temporary throttling or additional charges.

4.3 Feature Access

Feature availability varies by subscription tier. A detailed feature comparison is available on our pricing page.

5. Service Suspension and Termination

5.1 Payment Failure

If a payment fails, we will attempt to process it up to three times over a 7-day period. During this time, full service access is maintained. If payment is unsuccessful after three attempts, your account will enter Limited Access Mode for 14 days. If payment issues remain unresolved, services will be suspended.

5.2 Limited Access Mode

In limited access mode, you can:

  • View and download existing content
  • Access account settings and billing information
  • Update payment methods

However, you cannot:

  • Upload new content
  • Create new galleries or collections
  • Use Shutter Finder or other advanced features

5.3 Account Suspension

If payment issues remain unresolved after 14 days in Limited Access Mode, your account will be suspended. During suspension:

  • You cannot access your account or content.
  • Client galleries will become inaccessible.
  • Automated services will cease to function.

Suspended accounts are maintained for 30 days before content is scheduled for deletion.

5.4 Account Reactivation

To reactivate a suspended account, you must:

  1. Log in to your account using your existing credentials.
  2. Update your payment information.
  3. Pay any outstanding balances.

Upon successful payment, full service access will be restored immediately.

5.5 Account Termination

If an account remains suspended for 30 days, it will be scheduled for termination. Before termination, we will send a final notification to your registered email address. Once terminated:

  • All content will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

6. Data Access After Subscription Cancellation

If you voluntarily cancel your subscription, your account will be downgraded to Limited Access Mode until the end of your current billing cycle. After the billing cycle ends, your account will follow the suspension timeline outlined above.

We strongly recommend backing up your data before canceling your subscription to ensure continued access to your content.
